As I promised in my T-155 thread, I am working on a set of basic drawings for the FAASV hull. My goal is to distribute a PDF file that can be laser-cut and used to form the basis of a FAASV conversion, using the same technique I used for my T-155 project. ( https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/150122&page=1 )
These FAASV drawings will be designed for the Italeri M109 chassis. To finalize the dimensions, I need the width of the Italeri M109 hull, as well as the length of the FAASV hull. Can anyone with access to the Italeri M109 measure the lines I marked in the drawing below, and post them here? ( IN MILLIMETERS, please)
I need the following:
1- WIDTH of the hull (Marked with a BLUE line in the picture)
2-Length of the FAASV superstructure (please approximate the distance marked with a RED line using the M109 chassis and the drawing)
Thanks!

Kursad,
Looks like yours is well on its way to being reality. I am stoked by this and can't with to see how these turn out. Here are the measurements you need.
1- WIDTH of the hull (Marked with a BLUE line in the picture): 89mm
2-Length of the FAASV superstructure (marked with a RED line): 91mm*
*This measurement is to the end off the kit hull only. The M992 is extended past the kit hull and is longer. You will have to extrapolate that extension from the drawings and such I sent you.
Hope those get you where you need to be. I am anxiously awaiting your drawings. I have an extra M109 just waiting to become an M992.
Let me know if you need any other kit measurements.

I enjoy scratchbuilding immensely, but if I can save time by doing a kit (which allows more time to attack the stash) then I will.
You might want to wait a bit.
Just sayin'...

On the actual FAASV it is 148.5 inches to the rear of the hull from where your line starts. You'll have to divide by 35 on your own.

I hope you are seriously hinting at a plastic kit of an M992 FAASV coming out. I would love to see it in kit form too. Any more hints???? (Please!!!)
