I found this forum via a google search from models, and I am absolutely blown away by how well some of the models on here turn out. I got out of the Army 2 years ago, as a 13D fire direction specialist, among other things. I've been wanting to put together a M577A2 model to remember my days (both good and bad) but I absolutely do not have anywhere near the skill level you guys do at putting these things together.

If model making were something I had the time for, as well as making many, I'd buy the tools and equipment to do things properly, but for only one, maybe two models it wouldn't be beneficial..

My question is, if anyone was interested...what would you charge to build one for me? (paint/commo gear,....etc.? I know its better to do things yourself, as you get more pride from it, but like I said, this is a one time thing, and I can't justify the investment in paint and other items for just one model...

Thanks!

Any pictures? I was on a M577A2 mortar FDC track.

I'd offer to help but I'm slow at the best of times and almost non existent with a baby running around now.

I could donate some of the interior bits that are missing from the Tamiya M577A1 kit. They are from a M113 so the floor is not a 100% match but close.

There are some good M577 builds on the forum for an example and M577 exterior and interior walkaround on Prime Portal.

Quite honestly, unless you're ready to make one of my monthly mortgage payments, it wouldn't be worth the time invested. Unless we were war buddies...
I say give it a go yourself. There are plenty of knowledgable folks on here who could talk you through every step of the way.
