Does anyone make an Infra red gear for my panther, or does anyone make a german tank with infra red gear that itsn't super expensive?
Thanks!

The DML/Dragon Night Fighting Panther G (#9045) may be OOP, I got mine for about $20 on Ebay. The Tamiya Panther G (kit #35174) includes infra red night fighting equipment, but it is much more, retailing for about $35-40.

The DML kit is based on a forged or doctored photo of three sets of IR gear on a Panther G the so called "Solution B" from the Feist book. One set for the driver, one for the gunner and a set mounted with an MG42 for the commanders cupola.
There, as far as I or anyone who knows much more about IR Panthers can tell, was never a Solution B 3-set IR equipped Panther.
It does look cool though.
The Tamiya Steelwheeled Panther contains 3 -!!- sets of IR gear for the real, and somewhat well documented commanders IR set , w/o Mg.
Since only one set goes on a Panther, if you ask nicely someone might have a spare set.
Sorry, but at the moment , mine are destined for a Falke and the scopes for the driver of an UHU.
Cromwell makes a set of IR gear, but the sample I saw was VERY rough.
I don't recall if it was for troops or vehicles though.
New Connection has 2x sets of German IR gear in their 'comming soon' kist, but they've been there a while. Have hope though, I hear they were very close to ready.
DML makes a set of very late war, some might say hypothetical, troops w IR equipped Mp44's
Verlinden and MB models make so-so IR searchlights to put into Sdkfz 251's to make UHU's and R&J makes a MUCH better set, if a bit fiddly.
Drop me a line if you have more questions about the German IR stuff.
