Good build. If you wanted to be more accurate then you could move the loose ammo cans from where they are on the hull top since they would likely keep the hatches from opening fully.

The grills on the front of the M113 are intakes only so no soot is needed. Exhaust only comes out of the flap in the far right corner.

The wrecked rack on the right side is a nice touch.

They're Tamiya's clear blue and clear red on gloss black

I like what you've done with the kit. The Tamiya M113 series has always been one of my favorites; the original was the first of their modern armor kits I had ever built. I did notice you painted the right tail light red. It should be painted black. Only the left side upper light lens is red.

Straight out of box, the Tamiya kit builds into something that looks cosmetically like an M113A3, not into an M113A2 as is advertised on the box. It is missing several exterior detail features found on a true US Army M113A3. Academy's new M113A3 is missing these items as well.

The headlights are now mounted on armored plates as opposed to directly on the hull.

There is a detail missing from the driver's hatch where the night vision periscope mounts.

The rear tow pintle has also been changed. An extension was added to allow the towing of a trailer without fouling against the external fuel tanks.

Tow Pintle in stowed position.

Tow Pintle in extended position.

Thank you for your comments Paul.I also found the problem about the soot when I finished it.
And the general knowledge about they like keep hatch opening, thank you .I will not make this mistake when I make AAVs or LAVs next time.
