Morning everybody,I need to ask if the turret in this kit is a T-23 or like the T-23 turret?

It is a different casting altogether, loosely based on the T23 turret. If you're thinking about interchanging it or using it as a T23 turret, don't, it's that much different.

It was a different turret, as has been pointed out. It was much more heavily armored, and while it shared the 76mm mount (although with a 75mm installed) the mantlet had additional armor welded on. It also had the later, oval, loader's hatch.
If you need a T23 turret, Formations makes one.

Thanx Guy's. The kit is a cheapie (10.00). You know, a near-new item. The guy selling it is doing some "spring cleaning". I need other stuff off the kit and wanted to see if the turret would work for another kit-bash proj.

The old Tamiya "Jumbo" is not very accurate, the turret's not the correct shape.
If you want to use what's left over, you'd be better to pick up Formations update set for an accurate M4A3E2 "Jumbo"
Cheers

Thanx John, It seems, no matter how much time I "crash" along on the net, you guy's always come thru. I didn't know of (formations) or just missed it somehow
