I've done this...nothing is glued so...I'm open to suggestions and critics.
Do you have a good close up of the fenders without Fuel cells/stowage?!
I've found some on the net but they are in bad res. or incomplete...so my work can be wrong...
Regards..
Ciro

Can't help for a picture but if my memory serves, this is a stowage bin and not a fuell cell. So it is not that common to see a MBT without it.

Nice work on the fender Ciro. How did you achieve the pressed aluminium look? How were the groves added?

I have a few T-72 related projects that im going to start soon so I shall follow this with interest.

Hi Rob,nothing of too difficult...
use some plasticard foil of 0,25mm then use a scriber...gently use it on the piece of plasticard and you get the pressed alluminium fender.

Hi Olegas,
ahhh...my afghan 55....I remeber!Well,it has some errors here and there, currently I'm working on the another one and I'm trying to fix errors that I did in the previous model.
T-72 is also a nice beast,probably I can do a good model,
I have Blast model turret,Eduard Pe and friul tracks and sprockets. Not sure about which configuration I'll depict cause I'm a bit confused about T-72 nomenclature (T-72a/M/M1/ecc ecc)
I hope that tamiya hull+blast model turret give me a correct version,I'm trying to learn about modifications and nomenclature but it's not an easy process cause I'm relatively "new" to this tank.
Probably I'll get WWP book for 72....and sure I'll post wip here and there to get infos and corrections.
cross your fingers for me...
Regards
Ciro Riccio

Heres a couple of links from ML you may find useful Ciro, they outline the basic details of each T-72 variant in simple and easy to understand terms.

Early variants:

Later variants (B, B1, BM etc)

hope that helps

Hi Olegas,

the second picture looks like an T-72M1 from the GDR NVA. Have you more from this tank?
