Matan,

I think you weathering is more indicative of mud. When I think of dusting from a beach I think of a dusty overall even look. If you can, try to blend areas so you have blotches of lighter spots and blotches of darker spots. Oils dot filter method could also work bringing this out a little more.

hmm thanks. shame i remembered to watch Jon Hayward's videos AFTER and not before

Yeah, guess that's my problem. should focus on one model instead of trying to build as much models in fewer time

anyway, I've manged to clean most of the pigments away using acrylic thinner, so I'll have another go (and hopefully, a much better one) tomorrow

well, tried to save the model as much as I could. it looks better, but leaves much to be desired. well, one can only learn from this things. next time i won't work so hastily and pay more attention to the affects i'm trying to recreate. I hope the added equipment will help it

Now I like to finish alot more. Practice takes perfect. I don't think I've completed a model enough to get to the weathering stage for any of my current builds.

Hats off to you. Keep working at it

Definitely getting there now Matan

I hope its not too late to point it out, but it looks like you forgot to put the armoured ventilator cover on between the periscopes at the front? that's what that little hole is for in front of the driver and co-driver/ loader's hatches

nope, i didn't forget. after you have noticed it, i've searched for the sprues, but they were already thrown out. I'll try and cover it up with something

The re-worked weathering looks 100% better! The flag seems to overpower the tank though. Maybe have it on the back deck? or a smaller flag? It just doesn't "look right". It's a great looking job otherwise. Don't know much about this version of the Churchill. What are the two large rollers on the rear deck for? Look forward to updates on this & the Hellcat. Cheers.

thanks for the input. I was trying to resize an image of the "union jack" to fit the stowage bin. trouble is, you need to keep it in proportions, that leads to the size of it. I'll try and rework a smaller version for the stowage bin, and one for the rear deck, and see what looks better

flag take 2:
this time, attached to a wooden pole, that i've connected to the tank with string to imitate rope the crew would have used
