Alpine Miniatures have just announced a pair of New, 1/35th scale figures. Nothing very surprising in that. However, they have also announced (in limited availability) the FIRST in their line of 1/48th scale figures. The full report can be seen:

What an incredible time to be a modeler, with a host of high quality 1/48 kits and accessories! These figures are very welcome.

Cruel irony, my eyesight may not allow me to enjoy it to the fullest.

And again the figures of the crew of the German tank from WWII. It's boring!

Each to their own. I happen to like German figures. Besides, the fact that half of the entire limited edition run have been sold to dealers within 24hrs of announcing the 1/48 scale release says that German's are not boring, or 1/48 scale unpopular.
