Hello there fellow friends and modelers.

What kind of new 1/35-54mm resin diorama accessories would you all like to see in the following categories.

1-Figure bases? If yes, what types, styles, sizes.
2-Vehicle/AFV bases, styles, sizes.
3-Road side accessories (shrines, mile/kilometer markings, etc).
4-Advertising kiosks, food/newspaper stands.
5-Other accessories not mentioned above.
6-Anything else you may come up with related to new products for dioramas/vignettes.

Thank you for taking the time to participate, it is much appreciated and will help in the development of new products for your enjoyment.

Post your responses here or send suggestions to: [email protected]

Sincerely,

Glad your asking, This is not a new idea but I for one would like to see a Dio base with 1/35th scale Railroad tracks & Roadbed. Something simular to the Old Custom Dio #7006 kit. ... My 2cents worth, milvehfan

I really like accessory kits that allow modellers to "upgrade" their scatch built dios. For example I usually scratch build my own buildings and groundwork but I do buy roof tiles, window frames, factory machinery, park benches etc -basically the things that are hard to scratch build.
I hope this helps and thanks for asking.

Thanks for asking our opinion, Jose.

How about seeing the buildings and dio bases that Miniart makes, for example, and then making furniture and internal fixtures that could be used to dress up those buildings. I don't see many good furniture sets that aren't too expensive.

Also, how about some bases showing modern settings like Iraq or Afghanistan.. there's a definite lack in those. Possibly some generic modern looking buildings that could be used in a variety of confilcts.

The food/newspaper stands you mentioned would be good. Also, things like garbage dumpsters, telephone booths, etc.

Well, that's all I could think of off the top of my head.

Thanks again, and good luck

That, for me, is the MOST logical direction.

Hi there folks. Thanks for the comments.

Verlinden
Custom Dioramic
Royal Models
Plus Models
Firestorm Models

These above companies already produce very fine furniture and instruments below $25.00USD in price.

I do not believe it will make sense for me to enter the arena in that part of the hobby.

I think I will continue to concentrate on road side shrines, monuments, mile/kilometer markers, etc.

Some things that spring to mind.

A pissoir

Old style Metro/underground entrance adaptable for several countries

Big industrial equipment and machines... not like the lathe and pedestal drill from Plusmodels but like the really big dies and forming machines that are driven by belts. These are found in a lot of industrial zones all over Europe.
Big boilers, pully systems, Ironwork pillars and roofsupports maybe even modular.

Garage equipment. jacks that can be placed in several angles,

Vegetable stalls, marketstalls complete with the stuff on sale. You could even do several sets of marketware so people have a choice what is sold.

Terrace set with bistro chairs and tables and umbrella. Maybe with a fold up menu sign blackboard billboard thingy don't know the correct word for it. and windscreens

Stuff you find in harbours. Coiled up ropes, those things they tie ships on, crate, Trollies. modular pieces of quay. Poles with lamp on the top.

Cargosets for the new IBG Einheitsdiesel Pritsche

Phoneboots several sets for several ages and several countries.

convincing cardboardboxes filled with rubbish like old papers or just general litter...can be used everywhere and anywhere. From attics to corners of streets and pretty much in any era as well.

Indoor gantry crane. Modular gantry so you can adapt it to width of the bulding.

Can't think of anything more for the moment... Hope there is something in there that gives you an idea.

I'm not sure if you want to enter the modern arena but there are a serious lack of figures for US troops in ACU, or other nations. There are tons wearing BDU but for those who like to model vehicles like strykers there seems to be no variety. Also, I'm not sure if you'd be interested but things like highway signs that have a reflective material, not sure its been done or how it can be down. Overpasses?

I'm just thinking of things relating to Iraq. Also, there is a big Russian/Soviet market, so things from Chechnya and maybe Georgia?

Just some suggestions

Hi Jose, I think that a great addition to your line would be some Ancient Roman monuments, columns etc. for Italian based dioramas. I don't know of any company that makes inexpensive Roman scenery, and I think that a lot of people would use them in their projects.

I think I would be interested in seeing basic dio bases that can accommodate two levels of detail. For example, ground/street level and a lower shell-hole level which can be adapted for both urban (street and cellar, for example) and rural settings (ground level and trench or shell-hole level)

some field stone walls would be appreciated. theres plenty of brick and some cut stone pieces out there but not much in the way of walls made with rough field stones, mortared or dry.

house gutters would be nice too. hudson & allen made a set a while ago but theyre out of business now.

I know, for me, that there is a severe lack of 1/32 scale modern cars going around. Once I crush, bomb, wreck, and otherwise destroy them, the scale difference is negligible. Airfix, Arii, revell (yes, even those snapfast muscle cars can be made into wonderful wrecks) and a very few others are out there but, most are rare. I would love some Nissan Maxima's, Toyota Camry's, Mazda 626's, etc from the 90's. These are very common in Bagdad, I've been told. Well, similar designs but with different names. Some trucks too.... Please!!!!!
