Thanks Chris,
Glad to hear that the Forum is staying put. If it ain't broke don't fix it is my motto, and frankly, the Forum is doing it's job, albeit with only low traffic levels. IMHO you won't generate more even if you add dancing girls and free beer...... Well maybe a bit more with free beer.
You have done well setting up the Forum, and yes it does rightfully carry the name MAFVA Forum, as it is for the use of MAFVA members and visitors. It is useful as a means of letting members (and non-members) fraternize, discuss and swop information freely.
However, if anyone wishes to to something that involves the MAFVA name, it needs to be sanctioned by the Secretary or relevant Association Officer.
Moments of madness are perfectly acceptable, but you might wait for senility, when it is not only acceptable, but also a requirement....... N'est-pas Chef?
Mea Culpa, I also forget to add my membership number, VRN, inside leg measurement and hat size, despite you asking me at Nottingham. Sometimes it takes a long time for things to sink in when you get old.
Perhaps if you put in a few posts of new findings, new releases etc, it might increase traffic and interest.
Keep up the good work,
Paul Middleton,

Thanks Chris,
I wonder what happened to your old paints and vehicle listings, they were always a great reference point.?

Al, did you mean the MAFVA home website? It lives here:
http://www.mafva.net
Perhaps it should appear in all of the Forum's thread banners? It already appears as a link in the Forum's index-page banner...

Hi Chris,
I was really pleased to see that the MAFVA Forum is staying put and in its usual format. Like Paul I find the different techniques of getting into other forums a bit off putting and my weary head is running out of usernames and passwords.
Paul’s and my forum names are just easy for us to remember. They are both Military: “Jimmie” is the nickname of a cap badge we both wore for a while. That of the Royal Signals and “Sunray” is WT speak for Boss, OC or person in charge. As the Meercat says, “Simple”.
You did us all a great favour starting off the forum and though it doesn’t carry too much ‘chit-chat’, it does get quite a few hits and has recruited a few new members for us and resubscriptions too. It has become a vital part of the MAFVA website and an essential tool for real-time information and announcements and were it to go we would really miss it.
The suggestion that we but the website address on the masthead is a good one if it can be done. We often get visitors via Armorama who have never heard of MAFVA before and do not know about our useful website and its contents.
So, thanks Chris. Your work is appreciated by many and thanks to Jim for giving us space on his pages.
Keep up the good work and Happy Easter!
