Is it true that there is no plastic or resin figures of 1/35 modern British soldiers in Operations Telic/Herrick? I wanted to make sure b/c my search turned up nothing.

They are very rare, the only ones I know of really are ACCURATE ARMOUR, however I decided to convert some from americans with the help of accessory packs from accurate armour as well.
Apart from that the only other one I know of is a 120mm figure.
Not many really. ITS A SHAME somebody should make some in plastic like trumpeter or somebody.

Wee friends produce this figure:

The AA figures are very nice as well, fairly generic poses so could easily be converted.

A set of modern British figures is way overdue--would be nice if they would be in "on patrol" type poses. The problem is, what type of body armour (if any) should they have, as this will definitely limit the era and location which they represent. I was hoping Dragon might have released a set to go with the 25th anniversary of the Falklands conflict, but I guess that would also limit the time frames when they could be used. Perhaps different torsos-one with body armour, one without? Also, if Trumpeter's German ISAF figures are an indication of what they are capable of, I would much rather see Master Box,Miniart or ICM produce them (even Tamiya is falling down in the area of figures). Dragon would be great, too, but they seem to be stuck on WWII subjects. Strangely enough, Dragon's previous issue of SBS figures are not too bad, as many current British troops seem to have SAS type smocks and chest rigs (I wear my own private-purchase smock, and it is amazing how much detail Dragon's smock has when viewed under a magnifying glass!), but then again there seem to be a wide variety of vests in use these days. Also, the poses of these figures restrict their use. Currently, the best source is Accurate Armour. Might want to check out their SAS Land Rover crew if you plan on purchasing any of the upcoming Rovers from Hobby Boss! Do we need to get a campaign going for this? Seemed to work in getting some modern Land Rovers in the pipeline!
