Looking good, just one small thing tho. If that is a WMIK version shouldn't the passenger seat be raised up slightly??

It's really looking nice and sharp.
I see it comes with a roll bar and a hard-top, so it can be built in two different versions.. or am I mistaken?
Anyway, this is one vehicle I hope they milk for all the versions they possibly can.
Thanks for the pics, Jim

Nice images Jim,
If this is to be a Land Rover TUM (Wolf) Hardtop it will need the appropiate holes in the hardtop. The spare wheel on the Land Rover TUL/TUM is mounted on a boss attached to the main oll bar. The older method of attaching the spare wheel to the bonnet was discontinued with the introduction of the fibre glass bonnet. Ask any member of the Birtish armed forces "how do you lower the bonnet?", the easiest way was dropping it. Of course spare wheel and fibre glass bonnet meant the wheel ended up on top of the engine and a shattered bonnet......
I will be watching out for this kit....hurry up Hobby Boss!
Cheers
Brian

Looks like a standard GS Rover rather than a WMIK - no guns fitted as standard.

This is great. I grew up in an old 109 Land Rover back in the late 60s and early 70s and have always had a soft spot for them.
I bought a book a few years back called "Land Rovers in the Gulf" and now it looks like I'll get to use it.
I certainly hope they do some older versions of the Rover. My Father who was with the British Army actually drove one of the "Series One" models way back at the start of the Korean War. He fell in love with it then and had one almost continually since. He finally gave the last one up a few years back...at 86 he's getting a little old to fight with the older transmissions. He steadfastly refused to even look at the newer models on the market saying a true land Rover shouldn't be comfortable or have complex British Electrics! He is a true believer of "Keep it simple stupid"
Of course I'd like to see the whole line of Rovers, but that's wishful thinking I guess.
Great stuff Hobby Boss!!

We are going to need a good set of Modern British figures for this kit.

WMIK is an option, but it's a good start for a conversion if no WMIK avaible

Not neccesarily. I've already spoken to them about these and they, like any sensible company, see marketing advantages in this. Remember that AA have the LR market at the moment, it'll take time for HobbyBoss to get to the number of variants that AA do...

This is probably a good market opportunity for AA: lots of people won't buy the full AA kits because of cost but I expect they could very quickly and without huge R&D release up-grade/conversion sets to go with the HB plastic kits

Let's hope you're right
A full radio fit H/T Wolf Landy would be nice, H/B's got it half way there already
