Hey guys. I have a question about future for you experienced with it.

I made quite a boo boo with my first application of Future. I didn't realize how dusty my airbrushing area was and a bunch of dust ended up setting on some clear parts after I futured it to get rid of some scuffs and scratches. Now there's dust imbedded in the windows

I was wondering if there was any way to strip Future so I can clean off the dust and start over. Any suggestions?

Ouch. I always go over the model with the air hose to remove dust etc prior to spraying anything.

I would think that a wash of warm water and mild detergent would remove the Futura. Gently 'scrubbing' with a soft paint brush.

On the future bottle is written that to remove it you should use a solution of water and ammonia. As far as clear parts are involved it shouldn't be a big problem to get rid of it with a cotton tub dipped in the above mentioned solution. Be careful if you're going to touch the paint as ammonia can spoil it, specially if Tamiya's acrylics are involved...

That's an affirmative on the use of ammonia for Future removal and certainly test an area that is painted as it may have an adverse affect.

Hmmm. So what do you think? Windex? The paint that I used along the canopy is Humbrol enamel.... I wonder if that will be effected by windex. I'll give it a try now. Thanks for the tips guys!
