Mato Toys came out with a 1/16 scale RC M4A1 76 Sherman. I think Mato is a different company then the Henglong the maker of most 1/16 scale pre built RC tanks. Seems to be better qaulity the then Heng long Tiger I have. And it stayed working for more then three battery charges.

It's not nearly as nice as the Tamiya 1/16 stuff, but their sherman is 500 plus bucks, this was 150.

It came with stickers and not paint, but overall it looks pretty good. I am going to paint it, and add some details so it looks a little better. I also need to figure out how to get one of the damn RC tanks on a different channel, why is everything 27mhz?

Been playing with it all night, really fun stuff, I am going to be finding BB all over the house for months.

I need some star stencils for markings, it came with stickers lol.

About the wheels...have they RUBBER bands?
Have the same electronic plate than the MATO King Tiger? Seems than Mato electronic is a little better than HL ones....

The road wheels have real rubber tires with raised detail on the rubber.

The tracks are rubber blocks with steel end connectors and seem really strong.

I can't find any specific metal upgrades yet, though some of the detail stuff for the Tamiya M4 would work.


The company is supposed to be releasing a whole line of Sherman's and a Grant.

The electronics are supposed to be all new, and it works much better then the heng long tiger I have.

I think I am going to paint it up as "in the mood" S/Sgt Lafayette Pool's tanks.

That's the markings that came on the stickers. I think I will scan them and them make a stencil out of them.

yeah tamiya 1/6 is nice tank. but now i have 1/30 th Sherman M4 tank rc . you know it's a awesome tank. and not so expansive .
the price for this sherman is only 50 euros.
