Hi Guys,
There has long been a call for some British Tank Riders. Resicast have just released the first 4 of what I believe is to be a 12 figure set of some British Tank Riders in NWE..
The figures were sculpted by Pete Morton (nice one Pete) and are available individually and I shall be doing a review of them shortly. But as a taster
some pics:

From the look of the poses these could be used on just about any British Tank although you might need to alter their bums to suit and they will also be very handy around other vehicles and in building and dios.
Also by way of interest Resicast have taken over some of the Spearhead Miniture figures, also by Pete Morton. You may remember this chap who I reviewed earlier in the year.

A set of seated soldiers will have many uses. more good news for thr Allies indeed.

Absolutely right! These will be very welcome indeed as so many of the photos you see of Allied tanks in action have infantry hitching a ride on them.

Hi Rodger,
As well as tanks I can see these chaps on the side of carriers, in trucks, sitting on and behind walls and in buildings. Lots of potential here.

Hey Al,
Really nice looking figures, typical of what Resicast's given us.
Are you going to do a review ?
Cheers

This is very exciting news. Ironically, I just picked up the wounded Brit under the Spearhead brand for an Operation Dynamo idea I have been dying to do for about three years now. I'm glad to see it will work with Resicast stuff, as that was the next step.

Hi Matthew,
I think the wounded soldier is a neat figure, I did this one a while ago.

Fast work Al. I like the small pack with the pick head in the straps- nice touch that. Are there suggested positions for the figures Al?

Hi pat,
Thanks, I want to do a bit more work on the face, more dirty looking but it's a technique I haven't gotten the hang of yet, mine always seem too grubby when I try.
This one is shown on the front LHS of the turret as per picture 3 in my effort. The Sherman he is sitting on is a mix of left over parts DML turrret and Tamiya hull. I think their turrets are a little higher and I would guess maybe a Tamiya or Tasca turret was used for the pose. The insert suggests altering their backsides depending on which Tank/vehicle you are using. The have a full backside rather than a flat ones so alterslightly to suit I suppose.
This particular pose I like a lot, back of a truck or on a small wall or window ledge or rock. I think there are plenty of options. I haven't tried him on a Churchill yet but the figuers are marked as 'Universal' adjust to suit.
Cheers

This is the 2nd of the figs I'll be looking at, the Tank Rider with Bren.

Again I tried him out in a few different positions

Looks nice Al. I wish I had known about these before I altered my Tamiya kit... although mine didn't turn out half bad (still waiting for paint and some filler though).

What, you mean you don't share a bath with your resin figures? *looks around nervously* er, me neither....
Anyway, look great. I can see the first one sat on a wall guarding some POWs...

Hi guys,
Here's the progress on the tank riders so far. Only alterations I've made are to give the Bren gun a folded stand, opened the collar on the wounded soldier and gave him an alternative head and gave the sten chap a shovel to carry.
Way's to go yet.
