Took a little detour from my usual to try some armor. This Lav is mostly oob with a few details added, since I don't have an armor "parts" box or a wealth of weathering materials, I did what I could with what was on hand since I was just trying something new. I was not trying for any perfect accuracy & no doubt their are numerous nits that could be picked! but I enjoyed building it and have also completed an AFV club Stryker which I had a lot of fun doing also. I'm back to some auto projects I need to finish!..

Hey Brian,
first off, there's absolutely nothing wrong with your model.
Especially not considering you seem to be relatively new to armor.
As you mentioned yourself it's not the most accurate model around here, so here's what I'd suggest you to do to improve on your next builds:
As for the build: try to do some more research on the particular topic you want to model, since some of the details you've added are wrong (the Mk19, the vision port on the front left turret side, the upside down ALICE pack. leaving them away would have been better (in my opinion))
As for the painting and weathering: it seems like the camo itself is done pretty well, the green just looks a little too dark to me. (what colors did you use btw?)
Also the weathering appears a little rough and exaggerated (the chips around the tie down loops, the overall dusting and the heavier mud sprinkles).
Have a look at these articles, as they are really helpful on weathering topics:

However I really like the way you depicted the dried mud on the wheels although the wheel sides could have been covered a little more.
how did you achieve that effect?
Cheers Max
