Hi all, Been a long time sice ive done anything like this but its time to blow the cobwebs out.
Im once again attempting to build several of my models, Inc this conversion, and a CVR(T) LEP Scimitar. Ive been out the loop for a while, Girlfriends, work (British Army) etc and settling down again now.
Thought i would start a blog and inc photos of my build as i go, and welcome any comments (good or bad) and hits and tips people might have to offer.
So far i have well not completed alot, as you can see
Also with Scmiitar
First thing will be to sorts the tracks and join the top and bottom
If anyone has any good links for referance photos please dont be shy
Neil

Built one about 5 years ago and it was a pleasure to assemble, just make sure you wash it off really good before priming it.
Lots of room for all sorts of add-ons, nice crew figures are difficult though.
Seeing your project reminds me of a Chieftain Mk 7 ARV i have idling around here.
Keep us posted
Cheers

Interesting, Are you based in the UK or Germany? Im thinking about painting it the red top version on BATUS, but getting photos of the paint scheme, zap number and callsign (72D) i think is gunna be hard!

Neil,
Good stuff to see, where does the Scimitar kit come from. I have made the AFV Club version and would be interested in making a Scimitar as is used today.

Good Evening all.
Sorry to awaken such a sleeping thread but i didn't really want to start a new thread when i already had one on the same topic.
As you can see its been a long time since i did anything with this and the same excuses stand, apart from changing jobs, getting married and having children,
The following are just a couple of photos of what is my starting point for the completion on this kit.
I am changing it slightly from the pictures from 2010 as i non longer intend to display it with the crane working. I reason being i now have the Accurate Armour's Oshkosh M1070F Het on order and now wish to use the CRARRV as a load for it. I have also inquired about some replacement parts are some are damaged, lost or in case of the crane require changing.
Comments etc always welcome.

Perhaps it's a silly question but didn't you forget the return rollers?

OK thanks. Probably if you fit them they'll help tensioning the tracks.
