Here is the first model I'm finishing for the Barbarossa campaign !
It is the T26A from Zvezda. I added the friul tracks. I'm not very happy because I feel I left too much sagg in the tracks, most of all on the right hand side.
The build of the turrets is a bit difficult.
Some parts needed to be sanded a lot, and a few others were replaced from a metal sheet.
Apart from that the model is built OOB. I wanted an easy project so i didn't go to the extent of adding the rivets. I'll do that for my other barbarossa project: a BA6 armored car.

Looks very good, Penpen.
Is the Zvezda from the same molds as theRPM/Maquette? I have a couple of the RPM kits. The "A", the one with the single turret and 37mm gun and one marked "T26T Tractor". Look like all basically the same kit with added sprues. Are there any real problems with the kit?

Hello pipesmoker.
I'm sorry, I don't know if it's the same mold.

So what I'm going to say only counts for the zvezda model,as far as I know.
With this one, you have to :
- replace the tracks, they are too short
- replace the screen for the engine vent (?), it's awful (I used the screen fom the tamiya kubel)
- rework the supports of the fenders : thin them a lot or replace them. I thinned the front ones, and I replaced the ones at the back with some metal foil.
- add plenty of rivets, most of all on the sides of the turrets : I didn't do that operation because I wanted this build to remain "simple".
- beware to the fit of the turrets. Each turret comes in 4 main parts, and that's a bit hard to align properly everywhere.
- drill a small hole above each mg (the shooter has to aim from somewhere)
- drill the tips of the mg's

Well, that's what I saw, and there's probably some more ! Still, it was a fun little project !
The T26B or T26S, with one turret only, should be easier to build.
