Hello
I need some 1/35 scale Bamboo for a small diorama I'm about to start.
Apart from Verlinden is there any other company that makes some.
Or How can I make it myself.
Building for My pleasure & hoping others like what I build.
Being built at the moment
Way too many unfinished.

Hmmm I have never attempted making Bamboo in my life and I have never really bought it. But Did some thinking and wouldn't it be possible to make it with styrene bar? Or even stretched sprue when the bamboo is still young and not high.
If you cut the styrene in small sections and sand each of those sections a bit flat at one side. Then glue those sections back on top of each other with tamiya extra thin and make sure you push them together firmly. The chemical reaction of the glue and plastic makes that a sort of ring surfaces where the two pieces meet. Which kinda simulates the ring between each bambo section on real bamboo.
Just thinking aloud.
