I'm in the process of expanding Bastion 35's 1/35 Russian Dwelling to about 700 sq. foot house. Roof and siding are made of coffee stirers I got from work. The frames are wooden chopsticks I have at home. All free except Bastion 35's kit was $26, including shipping. O, I paid for the white glue.
Still need to finish the sidings, roof, windows, and door. Then add a chimney and floor later. What do you think?

Cute chairs, huh? Made from some balsa wood and tooth picks.

Looks good for now, but i'm wondering why you spend the 26$ in the first place as you have the capacity to buiild it all on your own.
Nice toothpicks for the chairs, i would love to get some of those.

Cheers
Claude

I second Claude. You definitely have the skills to build a fully homemade house.
I suggest you use longer planks for the side walls (the horizontal ones).

Keep on the good job.

Thanks for the comments gents. I used Bastion's kit as a template for the expansion and thought that the $26 was well worth it considering all the pieces were pre-cut and stained.
Olivier, very good suggestion. I'd do that for the unfinished side. Thanks!
