Ola People
I have a question for the british fanatics here.
Currently I'm in the process of building a Hotchkiss H39 tank and I am also working on a little bit of groundwork for it. And I'm looking for figures. The idea is that the H39 is left behind by the Germans days after D-day and some brits find it and are investigating the little vehicle.
Now I haven't built a single british figure in my life. And I have no clue where to start looking. I am basically looking for good british figures in scale 1:35 that can be placed in a Europe/France setting in summer of 1944. Resin or Plastic does not matter allthough the plastic figures must be decent in detail.
Basically I'm looking for normal walking poses, leaning or looking into something. The figures don't need to be precisely what I'm looking for... I can do minor modifications to them.
Would really love to know what is out there on the british front as I have no clue where to start looking.
Thanks in advance
With friendly greetz
Robert

Hi Robert
How about these two guys from Royal Model to start the ball rolling.
Catalogue No 552.
You'll need to find a dealer or Royal Model direct. Here in the UK it's SB Models.

Hi Robert,
How about these:
http://www.greatmodels.com/~smartcart/cgi/display.cgi?item_num=DML6055
or
http://www.greatmodels.com/~smartcart/cgi/display.cgi?item_num=DML6212
or
http://www.greatmodels.com/~smartcart/cgi/display.cgi?item_num=TAM35223
I have the last two sets and I like them very much. The Tamiya set could use some aftermarket heads.

Hi
Another one to consider.
Nothing special in this one other than I think the pose is really natural and its a Hornet figure so great quality and sculpting.

Hmmm and here I was hoping this was going to be an easy one. How wrong was I..... very
Some really usefull and very nice figures you guys have shown me.
@ Pat
Looking at the Ultracast website a lot of those figures seem to be canadian. Is there a lot of difference between Brits and Canadians?
I really like those Royal Models figures you showed me Alan but they are a bit pricey. And I have to see where I can get them. Your tips are very good... Also the Hornet figure is very nice simply because of the natural pose.
Also the DML figures and the Tamiya figures are good. I have done some research on the several figuresets that have been posted here and have some serious thinking to do. The fact that I also found a US set from DML that would fit very well with the Dio I have in mind doesn't help a lot.
Thanks for the help so far guys. Really appreciated

No difference really. Their battledress was a greener shade of Khaki but that won't matter to you.
