Thanks!

Hopefully the illustration does not reflect the actual kit.
It has the bullet splash strips like Factory 112 but not the rear plate.

It probably does include the Factory 112 rear parts, as these are present in the Factory 183 T-34 with cupola kit as "not for use" parts. Actually, the only new parts appear to be the radio mount for the turret rear and the extra fuel tanks on the rear of the hull. The flamethrower parts have been in other T-34 kits for a while.
For me the biggest problems are the half a$$ed and half hearted detail.
Perhaps you didn't read my posts where I mention that DML's PE is useless or that their Model '42 kits aren't up to snuff?
Maybe, you didn't see the four or five posts I've made on that thread alone?
Of course the screen is easy to fix; either replace it with Aber's set.
Um, but that's exactly what I would rather not do: spend a lot of money for a kit that needs a lot of AM fixes. Maybe I'm just not that in to Soviet armor.
Some interesting points all. Let me chime in with my two Kopeks...
There are, (waiting for the bricks to fall) three distinct categories in DML's release/development program:
1) Axis. If the designers suggest an improvement/makeover it seems to get done.
2) Allied. Less enthusuiasm. If it screws Tasca, well and good. Get a basic kit and keep re-issuing little-used variants . Designers generally heard but ignored.
3) Soviet. Designers appear to the strains of 'Mr Cellophane' from the musical Chicago.
Cynical? Me? Perish the thought....![]()
:D Perhaps a bit too charitable?
And you missed the second suggestion there: build your own. Fine screen and plastic strip and you're done. Prior to the wide availability of photo etched parts that's what a lot of us did.
Was that when you had to walk barefoot to school uphill both ways?![]()
