Hopefully the illustration does not reflect the actual kit.
It has the bullet splash strips like Factory 112 but not the rear plate.

It probably does include the Factory 112 rear parts, as these are present in the Factory 183 T-34 with cupola kit as "not for use" parts. Actually, the only new parts appear to be the radio mount for the turret rear and the extra fuel tanks on the rear of the hull. The flamethrower parts have been in other T-34 kits for a while.

You are, of course, absolutely right. But I would caution you never to underestimate DML's ability to completely screw up a T-34

Good news to see more variants, though I am concerned about the fit issues in this build.

In my experience the "fit issues" are mostly pretty minor; some trimming, some filling but nothing too serious.
For me the biggest problems are the half a$$ed and half hearted detail.

Dude, perhaps you didn't look at that thread, but the PE doesn't fit properly over the vents it's supposed to enhance. I don't particularly want to pay top $$ for a kit that I then have to "fix" with PE from an AM maker. It's one thing if there isn't another model of that vehicle, or I can pick up an old Tamiya dog like their 223 for $10 (the Voyager PE for that is costing me 2 & 1/2 times the kit price).

Perhaps you didn't read my posts where I mention that DML's PE is useless or that their Model '42 kits aren't up to snuff?
Maybe, you didn't see the four or five posts I've made on that thread alone?
Of course the screen is easy to fix; either replace it with Aber's set or you can cobble up your own screen and frame. You have to spend extra but guess what? You're stuck for it.
And, of course, there isn't another kit out there. AFV Club's T-34s are really very bad and Tamiya's is as you say, an old dog of a kit with a lot of problems. With either of them you'll end up spending a lot of time and money to make them right.

Some interesting points all. Let me chime in with my two Kopeks...
There are, (waiting for the bricks to fall) three distinct categories in DML's release/development program:
1) Axis. If the designers suggest an improvement/makeover it seems to get done.
2) Allied. Less enthusuiasm. If it screws Tasca, well and good. Get a basic kit and keep re-issuing little-used variants . Designers generally heard but ignored.
3) Soviet. Designers appear to the strains of 'Mr Cellophane' from the musical Chicago.
Cynical? Me? Perish the thought....

Honestly, I didn't pay that much attention to your posts, sorry to admit that.

Um, but that's exactly what I would rather not do: spend a lot of money for a kit that needs a lot of AM fixes. Maybe I'm just not that in to Soviet armor.
If Jim is right, then perhaps I should stick to the Trumpy K-1s which build up nicely at good prices.

And you missed the second suggestion there: build your own. Fine screen and plastic strip and you're done. Prior to the wide availability of photo etched parts that's what a lot of us did.

I've got nothing but respect for the designers I know who work for DML. So, in no way, should this be seen as any reflection on THEIR work.
Unfortunately, if DML was only to be as exacting with their OTHER vehicles as they are with Axis, they'd be unbeatable. I don't think it's even a question of not taking them seriously, they just don't seem as interested in anything beyond Axis...

Was that when you had to walk barefoot to school uphill both ways?
Like I said, Dude, I'm not that interested in fixing a kit like this, not a new one at any rate. DML has had time to correct what's wrong with its Soviet armor, so if they're letting substandard molding slide through kit after kit, I'll look for other options. There are too many out there (and in my basement) to struggle with something that requires correcting the grating so substantially.
But I appreciate the suggestion on returning to those golden years of yesterday....

My interest in Russian and Frenh armor are only in Beutepanzers.Unhappily Dragon T-34/76 are garbage. I will not give Dragon my money for inferior quality at high price. Just waiting that some manufacturer take the T-34/76 serious.

Jose,
Unfortunately, the DML kits are the only game in town.
AFV Club's T-34s are very poor (in fact, the worst kits they make) and Tamiya's are many years old and from a time before we even dreamed of the level of accuracy we expect now.
Though disappointing, I would not call them "garbage", just lacking the level of detail that we should all expect for their absurdly high price.
