Michigan, but not metro-Detroit (THANK GOD!!) I'm up north, north of Traverse City. Not much for hobby shops up here. Closest club that I know of is GR. Nice place to live, crappy place to be a modeller! However, since winter lasts so long here, I don't have to duck lawn chores (so I can model;)) for as many months of the year...

Traverse City? I evaluated a unit up at Camp Grayling way back in 1996 during my First Amy days.

I've spent some time at Grayling. Nice place if you don't have to be there for very long! Got a really MPRC there, recently resumed bombing with F16s and really upset the locals. They were mad that the Army stopped for 5 years to sucker them in to buying property against the fence, then resumed bombing and shooting just to make them unhappy. They seemed angry that the Army has to make so much noise when they shoot, and who would have expected that anyway?

I camped up on the ridge as a boy scout many moons ago at Grayling. It was a survival type thing, very limited to what you could pack in, had to build shelter outta what you found. Kinda fun way back then. It was more fun to watch the jets diving into the valley though!

Heading up to Mt. Morse and to Flint in July. My Mother-in-Law is from Flint. I hope we see some hobby shops while we are there.
