Hi.

This is my latest finished project. The model kit is from Italeri in 1/72 scale. I did some scratchbuilding to give it at least some detail. Weathering was done with oil washes, filters and dry pigments.

The palm trees are made out of wire, plaster and paper...pretty simple.
I used NOCHs "Water-Drops " (art. 60855) to replicate water. I poured tree coats of material to make it look like there are air bubbles underneath the waterfall (the "air bubbles" are just painted over every coat). To achive waves I used an old paintbrush and a hair drier while the material was slowly hardening. I think everything else is self explanatory.

I really have to say, I like this diorama. It's simple, but unique and well executed. It draws you in as though a moment were captured in time. Its not staged or overly dramatic either.

Oh, I also have a hard time believing that is Braille scale. Well, okay its just diorama envy.

Zoran, absolutely fantastic diorama. Everything about it impresses the heck out of me. The dust on the tarp, the overall weathering and that water is almost perfect. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.

Amazing work, the water looks incredibly real.

I like the figures aswell, very well detailed.

The only thing i would change, and its very minor is the rock face...where the waterfall originates, looks very flat....

But other than that...TOP effort...very nicely done...!!

As a diehard braille-scaler... very nice, Buddy! Standouts for me are the skintone ( although maybe a darker, "farmer's tan" on the bare-chested guy taking the picture?), camo job on the vehicle, and water effects. Hey, Man... nice shot!
