I’ve just ordered Cromwell’s new Challenger 2 set with the very favorable discount. However I do not know much of this version – just thought it looked awesome.

I haven’t received the kit yet – naturally – but I would be glad to be directed to some info/pictures on the subject. I guess it’s either used in Iraq or Afghanistan and therefore in a sand scheme; What is the best color for this?

Please forgive my ignorance.

Pick up the Tankograd book...."British Next Generation Armour"....good images in there of the modifications.

The Challenger 2 has only been used in Iraq...it is painted NATO green....with the sand coloured Barracuda.

Good luck with your project!

Too bad this kit is only designed for the Trumpeter kit and not for the Tamiya also...

To use this conversion all you require is the Trumpeter lower hull and wheels, so really it doesnt matter that its designed for the Trumpeter kit. The lower hull on the Tamiya chally 2 is actually one of the kits major weak points!

Using the lower hull is not an option because it's a major weak point of the Trumpeter kit. Wrong shaped pocket casting, rear angle, position of road wheel stations...

Besides Tamiya's upper and Trumpeter's don't fit together.
