I'm going to make a base to display a Tiger I and I want it to have the tank rolling through a wheat field.
Any ideas on what to use or where to buy something to make wheat?

Second question.
Anyone know a company or a idea on how to make a plaque to put on the display? Either made from metal or something along those lines.

I think you can find elefant grass at the railroad modelers section. I tried doing what you want to for a T-34, but I never finished it. The stuff is just too anoying to work with.
Maybe you could buy a couple cheap wall painting brushes and glue the bristles to the base, at least they are arranged together already.

For the plaque you could probably go to a trophy shop.

To represent wheat, I would think you could use Woodland Scenics long grass. It comes in multiple colors, it looks more realistic then using paint brush bristles.
You can find decorative wood bases at any arts and crafts store. I buy mine at Michaels, or Pearl Paint. They come in many sizes and look great for 1/35th scale. You just have to give it a nice varnich. :-)

Creating long grass like items is super tough. I would suggest going to an arts and crafts or better yet a florist and see what they have. Normally a florist can give you the best advice and material. Most of those folks are most helpful. The trouble with using the long grass is the lack of rigidity. I cut the long grass down and put it in clumps around the base of a building or in a field setting. Try the florist.....you need to get your wife something for Mother's Day anyway.
