Hey all,

Anyone else see this as the latest Topic for Site Talk when they look at the main Forums page?

"cheap nike air jordan shoes
azzooo | 2010-05-11 14:57:23"

Seems a bit OT to me, and doesn't show on the actual thread list within Site Talk...

Hmmm... One for Jim S to investigate! Of course, by me adding a new topic it got bumped from the Forums page.

[Edit] Just looked on the members list - azzooo is listed, but when I clicked on it for a profile I got "no active account exists", so maybe it's already being caught?

I am always amazed at how little spam gets through. I had a Civil War discussion site up for about a year and was just inundated with "cheap drugs here" and "porno" and penny stock spam. It became a full time job just to keep it out, and as i already had a full time job I had to drop it. I always wondered how they kept it out of here, I would love to get my ACW back up.

Generally these spam type announcements only last a short while until a mod sees and deletes them.
The funniest one several years back was from a 'Russian model' looking to connect with modeling agencies (of the high fashion type) You really couldn't tell if it was blatant spam or some poor girl with limited knowledge of the language..plastic models vs live models

Had the same problem with an IT admin years ago. He'd asumed all models were nude and blocked Rec.Models.Scale
