I'm trying to help someone locate kits which representthe following :
Engineer Vehicles and equipment (ie Roller/Plough)
Bridging equipment (MGB, Bailey, AVLB)
Weapons/air defence
preferably contemporary, preferably in 1/35. Plastic or resin. Mainly just looking to see what is available so I can give them some ideas of what is out there.
Thanks in advance.

Not my normal subjects but AVF have a Stryker engineer vehicle list for future release.
Air defence: you'll pick up the Humvee Avenger on ebay and there is the Trumpeter LAV ADV also available

Bronco does a Bailey bridge Straight "repainted" engineer equipment you'll prolly need to look at 1/32 scale diecast stuff. Most of it is commercially available just a few mods and different paint. (I have a co-worker in the ARNG in a Construction detachment)

Engineer Vehicles and equipment (ie Roller/Plough)
Bridging equipment (MGB, Bailey, AVLB)
Accurate Armour for Modern UK Engineers & Bridging kit, & WW2 conversions.
Dragon & Trumpeter do M1 based Panther
RN Models & Elite do Modern German (Biber, ARV's, Buffel)
Blast do update kits for modern kit.
Resicast do several WW2 Engineering & Bridging kit, Churchill MGB, AVRE Mk4, ARK, Shermans etc.
Google Military modelling + Churchill for a sequence of interesting 79th Armoured inspired Churchill conversions.
Revel have re-relesed the M48 AVLB.
Bronco have both the M1 & M2 Bailey bridge not without issues, (M1 based much more common btw).

1/40th??? was that one of the 'Box Scale' kits? How small would it look next to 1/35th?

Not too bad, if you squint!
But it is the reasonably priced AVLB.
The kit represents an early M48-0(?) the gas powered version, the rear of the hull is longer & different.
The hull overall is shorter & a bit narrower than the Tamiya 1/35th M48A3
The Bridge is either the prototype or original one, & Current M48 or M60 carry bridges that have 2 'extension' pieces inserted in the middle.
I have one reserved for a GB here
The Hobby-Fan Resin AVLB is a PITA, btw! (alledgedly)

Revell had a whole line of 1/40th scale kits in the 1950's (though Monogram's kits from the period were 1/35th, that scale didn't really dominate the scene until the 1970's). This will be about 13% smaller than a 1/35th scale kit. You may find the tracks disappointing, and the overall details a bit simplified. As for quality, on a fifty year old mold, there may be some flash.

Sometimes I don't mind squinting.
Probably the only way to build one in plastic though...

Thanks for the help guys, I think I've found enough to move on with now. Most of this stuff seems to be resin kits, I can now why modern kit builders feel under served in plastic kits.
