These couple of up-armored Humvee were taken around Sept 2007.
Vehicle #1
Vehicle #2
With the more than hundreds of models / variations / field modifications of the original Humvee, I CAN NOT identify which specific or near-specific variant this is. I compared these with most of the current M1151, doors and gun-mount armors are different.
I need more info on which 'base' vehicle (M1114? M1151?), armor upgrades, and the gun-mount turret are these.
If you have links, etc. -- kindly post.

Those are Special Forces HMMWV's, called GMV's. The turret is something I rarely see on gun trucks, but then again they never go out anymore anyways. I have however seen it on various MRAPs at Bagram, never saw one on an MRAP in Ghazni or Gardez. The UAE's MRAP's all had those turrets, as did their HMMWV's.

You certainly have some fine artifacts in your new and used shop, must come in handy.
Frenchy sent me this a while back and I thought I'd show it here for your comments. It is in Afghanistan I know but do you ever see M1114's configured like these?
Hope you are well
Bill

Thanks again to Frenchy these excellent pics of SF HMMWV's in Afghanistan. I particularly like the high shot that shows off the interior, great for details. Anyone know anything about these machines with the super narrow turrets?
Bill
I rearranged my Photo Bucket albums so I lost the original links. I'll go back and sort them out.

As I understand it, the base vehicle is the M1113 ECV variant (which the M1114 is based on) In order to build it you will need the standard Tamiya Humvee kit and the front extended grill (try contacting MIG productions they might sell you that part separate) The vehicle seems to have the ASK (armor survivability kit) windshield, the doors seem to be M1114 doors, whilst the front ones appear to have some additional armor fitted. Perhaps Rob Skipper will chime in to give a clearer idea.

^ thanks, Rob.
Which one provides better M1114 conversion fit -- MIG or Legend?

Actually ive changed my mind on those doors, they look more like the doors that come with the HArD kit. In my opinion it would be a big waste of money buying the whole M1114 conversion when in reality you wont use many of the parts. I think your best option is to obtain the extended grill via MIG (I say this because they seem to sell parts from their conversions separate) for the doors you will have to look to the Pro Art models conversion:
