Canteens are included in the Desert Rats figure set,no. 3013. If you have or can get a set, it is part number 4 on the figures wearing the 90-pattern web gear. The British carry their canteens in a pouch with a flap covering the canteen completely; had a similiar set up with the 58-pattern web gear. A good, inexpensive reference book to invest in would be Osprey's Men-at-Arms book no. 108, British Infantry Equipments 1908-2000 (revised edition). There is a good illustration of the 90-pattern arrangement on page 40. In the desert, two canteens are usually carried, and the figure set contains two canteens per figure wearing the 90-pattern gear. The other figure (NCO?) is wearing a chest rig, which allows canteens to be carried usually in an outside pouch. Also, a black plastic mug is also carried in the same manner the U.S. carries a canteen cup--the canteen fits in the cup/mug, then this assembly is wedged into the pouch. If you can get a set of the SBS figures (no. 3023), there are canteens included as well for the 58-pattern, parts no. A10/13 and B11/14. I have two sets of the 3013 set, mainly for the weapons/equipment. The figures themselves are some of DML's earliest and are wearing NBC suits as in the first Gulf War, so their flexibility is limited. I normally use Accurate Armour's excellent figures. Hope this helps!
