And why would I review a kit that should be "old news"..... Well, for one thing it had not officially been reviewed. And for the REAL reason, you'll have to wait a day or two to find out.

About Italian service, Italy got about 300 New M60 A1 in the early 60 (being chosen over the M48 delivered to other Nato armies). The US reserve tanks used in Somalia (just a few) were bought from US Marine corps and were all in M60A3 ERA standard being deemed more economical and faster to deliver then providing separate ERA kit for the existing tanks (which were already being phased out for the new C1). All the ex USA tanks were left in Somalia and never got to Italy
