Finishing up my USMC LAV C2, and painting up the stowage at the moment, but wondering what colors the straps are?

Are they all green? Or are there different colors used? Or is it just what they have on hand that they may have run down to their local Walmart to pick up! LOL

I was thinking there might be a mix of colors, Olive Drab, Black, Tan, maybe even blue, red.

Most straps are a shade of green or a sandy color.

Not Walmart, but maybe a surplus store would fit the bill

The pics I've seen show various shades of green and tan...

Well that's pretty good thinking, because you are correct. I'm on a mountain team, and while we don't frequent Wal-Mart that much for our purchases, we do love REI. The actual name of the straps is tubular nylon (which most often comes sewn so that it is flat) and we use it for anchors, tie downs, girlfriends...
Some teams color code it for different uses, ie, for individuals, type of equipment. Sometimes you just use what you have on hand to accomplish a task. It certainly would add variety to your LAV to throw in a splash of color:
