Hey. I'm new to armorama. I'm just getting back into build model after a 10 year break so I figured I'd post some photos of my current project, an Eastern Front Dio set in winter 1942 with a knocked out T-34 and a Tiger and 250/3 half-track.
Here's a link to the pics:

Just wondering if anybody had a comments on techniques since i'm "re-learning" a lot of old technique and learning knew ones.
The Tiger was built in 1999 the T-34 i started this year. The 250/3 hakf-track i'm currently building, sorry no pics yet.
John

Hi John,
Welcome back, I just recently returned after an more than 25 year absences. I find it very relaxing now. Dio looks good, I like the way you have all those infantry rides up on the Tiger. Question, What are the 2 guy in front of the bridge standing on and what type of glue did you use on the bridge? I have one similar to it and nothing sticks to it.
Cheers

Sal, Thanks for the comments.
The two guys go along the theme of the dio. The Tiger is too big to fit across the bridge. The two guys are from a 250/3 half-track (missing form the pics because im still building it). They wer looking for an alternative way across. After I built the bridge I realized it was too narrow for the tiger so my intitial thought of haveing infantry crossingthe bridge no longer will work.
I used superglue. I forget the name. I'll check when i get home later tonight and reply with the name. A generous amount and plenty of drying time should get the bridge (resin) to stick to the stone embankment (plaster). These items are from the VP sbridge set.

Hi John,
Thanks, I'll have to get some superglue when I can get up and around again before I attempt that bridge again. Don't get me wrong I like the look of the 2 guys looking over the map but it looks like they are standing on a piece of cardboard or something. Is that just temporary?
Cheers

Yes. The cardboard is temporary. I used that just so I could get a feel for the placement of the figures. The ground will be covered in snow. I need to finish making some pine trees before i proceed with the snow.

If my memory serves me correctly (its been over ten years since i built the tiger and figure) they are mostly Verlinden, Warrior, or Jaguar. I'm not sure but i should have the box art saved somewhere. There are actually 2 pairs of the same figures but i switched heads/gear to try to make them appear different at first glance.

Hey John,
I love this little dio! It looks great, the trees are amazing. Are they scratch built?
Are you going to put some water effects under that bridge by chance? I think that would really look amazing. But it's a very nice dio, lots of little details.
Those guys do look like figs from Verlindin and the switches look really good.

Thansk Brandi.
there is actually water under the bridg. On the left side. I need to finish making a pine tree for under the T-34 before I install the T-34 and pour the water on the right side of the bridge.
The Pine tree in the back is from a kit. Didnt look as good as i'd like. I'm making others out of dowels and caspia flowers. The other trees are roots but the are deciduous trees trees so no leaves.
After i finish the trees, pour the rest of the water, and finish a 250/3 half-track i'll have snow over the entire diorama.
