Is the LAV-III built on the Stryker or LAV platform?

Thanks

Actually, if you want to split hairs, it is the other way around, the Stryker is built on the LAV III platform

Thanks Scott....I have the Trumpy LAV-25, just got the
LAV-III TUA, and when I opened it I saw it was more Stryker than LAV-25. Got some LAV and Stryker books coming....

Was there a version of the LAV-25 that was up-armored?

Thanks

The LAV-A2 is uparmored, Trumpeter has a fairly recent kit out. Canada uses the uparmored Coyote, while superficially similar to a LAV-25, takes a lot of work to convert, or you can get the conversions from Real Model. (these are all LAV-II based hulls, as are ASLAV and Bison)

The Canadian Coyote deployed to Afghanistan is up armoured and resembles a LAV-25
