I decided to build the Nancy again for myself. It is almost straight out of the box with a few mods and added pieces. The quads are setting on the trailer base and I have added the radio to the cab area, the forward M-60 for the NCOIC and the rear armor plate with the Nancy girl on the quad. Nice work animal! I particularly like to see people putting my research efforts (that Eduard lifted off my site to make their own detail set) into modeling "Nancy". I will always have a soft spot in my heart for this gun truck.

well hell animal you know if gunny liked it you done good. Seriously though. This one is up to your usual rendering, even if you didn't scratch it. Always enjoy seeing your projects. Got my data togethr for working that M15a! trailer. LOcal library put out search and found the Shep Paine book for me...tiny little town in Houston. So now have 35th scale plans/drawings to assist in whatever modifiacations I'll need. I appreciate your encouragement when ever body else was telling me to trash the kit

Blaster 76, thanks for your kind words again. Keep me posted on the trailer project. As you know scratch building is still my number one passion. I will be strting a project of the Gun Truck the Brutus. This is the truck that Larry Dahl was serving on when he was awarded the Medal of Honor in 1971.

That's cool - I'll be looking forward to your rendition of "Brutus". I'm thinking that I'm going to build one of the really heavily armed (Mini-Guns) late gun trucks like 'Mighty Mini" or "Maverick" or maybe "Poison Ivy". I wonder which of them ultimately claimed fame as the most heavily armed of all...

The most heavily armed truck was the Cold Sweat. She had four mini's and four 50's and a twin 60 in the cab. It was in this configuration just before the stand down. This is when most trucks were sent to Quin Yon Providence in 1972 -1973. There were four variations of the Maverick. I have built two versions. The neat thing about the Maverick is that it is the only guntruck to be used early on and up to the stand down with the same truck under the armor. Most other trucks were replaced. The armor stayed the same but put on different trucks. The Maverick had four mini's and two fifties and a twin 60 in it,s final version. This was after James Lyles Deros home. The truck was an older version with out the drop sides.

Welp, then, it looks like "Cold Sweat" circa 1972-1973 is the target of some research while the paint dries...
