Over at www.formationsmodels.com is a resin conversion for an M4A1It's designed for the Italeri kit This thing comes with everything it seems like The kit is $50 U.S. It also includes MV lenses The price seems a little much, but it is cheaper than buying the Tank Workshop hull, turret and bogie units to represnt the early trailing arm type
The bogie units are very detailed They include the bolts that are missing on most of the Sherman bogie units Also included are the casting numbers

Zod, thanks for the "heads-up"! They're brand new to me. Looks quite promising.

Chad:

Saw this on Missing Links and I have to say it looks promising -- and at $50 a real value compared to trying to track down the rare DML/Dragon M4A1 kit.

It looks like any Italeri Sherman variant (M4A1, M4A3 with Calliope, "Marine Sherman," M32, M7, M36B1, Kangaroo, etc.) can be used as a donor kit for this kit. Looks like all that is really needed from the donor is the lower hull, a few suspension components, and wheels. It even looks like it may not even need a PE set -- those resin detail bits looks pretty good.

Hope to get my hands on one of these soon. The maker, Rob Ervin, has said he is also working on a M4A2 conversion for the Academy M10.

Wow -- I just found out that Formation Models will be at the Kansas City AMPS Regional Saturday. I'm drooling already. I just hope he brings enough goodies to satisfy all of us Shermaholics (or at least me!).

I can hear my wife now: "What do you need another Sherman for?"
