Is this turret textured? If so is teh whole tank? The turret seems rough but the rest of the tank smooth.

The rest of the tank should also have a casting texture on it. It is a known problem with Tamiya kit.

After the 15 coats of paint these things received throughout their lifetime, I don't recall the M48A5s I trained one (too many years ago to mention) having a real rough texture. Only the hull itself would be cast, the fenders, boxes, add-ons, etc. would be normal sheet metal.

Of course, by "the rest of the tank" I meant the hull, not all the attachments...
And by the "problem with Tamiya kit" I meant that the turret has a casting texture, but the hull does not, so once painted they look like made from different materials. Should both parts be smooth I wouldn't complain.
