My question is I want to put this model in a dio in the process of digging into a defenseive position .So was this tank also used for digging in or was it only used in breeching obstacles ? Thanks Toad .

Before we transitioned from 60 series to m60A2's our comapny had 2 dozer A1's in the HQ platoon. These were used for creating firing positions. Once we had switched to M60A2's the plan was to use the 88, though that was frowned upon.

Carlton-- The M60A1 dozer was a nightmare to maintain. The idea was that the dozer tank (usually bumper number 65, e.g. A65, etc) and operated by the company executive officer, would push dirt into a mound that you could take a firing position behind. It had other tasks as well. The theory often did not go beyond the motor pool since the weight of the blade caused numerous hydralic leaks. But, you are building a diorama not maintaining an operational readiness rate, so I would recommend you have her pushing dirt into a mound and have another M60 in over watch while the excavation is completed.
My two cents

Like DJ, we had one M60A3TTS with blade per company. Only once was one of the four blades working, but just as a pet project in the motor pool. They never worked in the field and were never used by the battalion I was in (but it was mounted on each XO tank).
