Hi All,
How common would it be to have British Infantry depicted with rucksacks?
I know of only one manufacturer who have included a rucksack with their figures (Master Box #3512, British Troops, Caen, 1944) and they're more RM or Commando looking than Army
I'm thinking that modern US Alice packs with the centre pouch removed would look very similar to the MB offering.

As far as Im aware only Commando (RM & Army Commando)and the airlanding battalions of the airborne divisions were issued with bergans. The various units trained for operations in mountain regions may also have been issued with them as well.
I think somebody maybe resicast do bergans but im not certain.

Hi Tom,
Used by the RM Commando's mainly, ordinary infantry would have had full battle order. Airlanding Brigades also carried them.
Acurate Armour do a very nice set
