Have one AAVP-7A1 (with mounting bosses) in-house and may add another (AAVP-7A1 w/UWGS). Wanted to know what color combos exist, including OIF, Afghanistan, etc. Saw one of them up in Boston on the Commons for USMC week when my son was coming home from college, and it was tricolor (black, brownish red and green). Iraq photos I've seen seem to be green or green predominantly.
Also, what color is the interior?

Bill,
the interior is See foam for which Tamiya Sky is quite a good match.

Sand painted AAVs can also be found, but I believe they are mostly non-RAM/RS amtracs like this one (I've also got pics of Sand RAM/RS ones in case you need some ):
Sometimes AAVs in 3 color NATO scheme are fitted with Sand painted EAAK armor
Here are some overall green AAVs (maybe from some prepositionned stocks) :
To sum up, you can find :
Sand RAM/RS and non-RAM/RS amtracs
3 color (NATO) RAM/RS and non-RAM/RS amtracs
Overall green non-RAM/RS amtracs (still looking for some RAM/RS ones if any...)
Talking about the interior color, there was a recent thread about it on ML :

Thanks, Frenchy.
I'm looking at the HobbyBoss non-RAM/RS vehicles. Are they being deployed over there? Were they deployed for OIF?

Bill
According to David Harper's "Vehicles of the USMC in OIF" book (very good one BTW), about 35 % of the AAVs used in OIF 1 were non-RAM/RS AAV7-A1s...Just PM me if you need pics

AS Frenchy said, they pretty much come in both NATO camo and sand for all varients. They have been to Iraq and were in the initial invasion. The USMC is pulling out of Iraq as of this year and there are not any AAVP7A1s being deployed to A'stan,

Thanks, I wish I'd known about it, as HB doesn't tell you the extinguishers are off-the-shelf red.
