Anyone know of a stateside vendor for Quickwheel or, failing that, any stateside modeler have experience with ordering from overseas?

Don't know of vendors here, but I've ordered from JBModel.eu with good results. These masks are terrific, BTW.

I've always thought of purchasing a quickwheel mask just to try the product out; but I think it's kind of expensive and the lazy way out for painting road wheels? I mean unless I was re-using the mark at least once more for another model (i.e. same vehicle) then its kind of an expensive 1-time mask; I just use a circle template or hand-paint them if I'm so inclined.

I have ordered direct from them, and payed using Paypal.
The last order did take a month, however that was in the midst of the Volcanic eruption in Iceland which screwed up everything coming out of Europe. The previous time took about a week, coming via registered airmail, so I had to sign for the package. Shipping was very reasonable.
I am building multiple Dragon M3 Half Tracks and AFV Club M3/M5 Stuarts, so these multi-use masks will be very useful as I can use them time and time again.

although I think that anyone should spend his/her money they way he/she thinks is best, I agree with the above. I cut out a circle from a piece of thin plastic with a pair of compasses. First I spray the wheel all black, put the mask over it and spray the wheel again with green.
I challenge you all to mask a jet aircraft canopy made from vacuform plastic from the inside and outside Now that is difficult

I thought the same regarding these masks - how they were a waste of money, and I could do some cheap DIY ones - until the first time i had used them. they make things so much easier and faster, that I think they worth it, even if you build just one model of a certain mask. plus, I think that a mask can fit other vehicles with same diameter road wheels, so they are not exclusive masks.
just wish they made more of them
just wish they made more of them

You're totally right, and I'll be happy to take all the Quickwheel masks you don't want, LOL!
You can scratchbuild grills or handles or latches, but that's why PE manufacturers exist.
I have over 50 kits in my stash, so anything that saves time is OK by me, especially on wheels like the Sd.Kfz.7 that have a painted "lip" that's almost impossible to hand paint yourself.
JBModel is fast and secure, so I recommend them.
