What is the best way to clean your AB. Is it just spraying the cleaner through after use? My instructions with my new brush are not the clearest.

Thanks

I have two different cleaning methods.

I use acrylics exclusively, so enamel users may do something different.

1) In between colors during the same painting session I spray Windex through it, then a couple of seconds of water to get the Windex out. Rinse out the paint cup with some light scrubbing from my finger to get the paint out.

2) When I am done for the day and putting it up. I tear it apart and clean the needle, nozzle, anyplace that paint flowed getting into it with pipe cleaners and Windex, then reassemble it and put it away.

Every month or so I go over it with a flashlight to find any paint that may have built up in hard to reach areas..

I use exclusively enamels, but I follow the same procedures as TwistedFate of course using paint thinner or mineral spirits as a solvent rather than Windex and water, but everything else the same.

I agree with the above only adding that I store my tips(Aztec) in windex when I am finished.

I use enamels. This is how I clean them:

1. Clean them with thinner using a cotton or cotton buds for small spaces
2. After cleaning, clean the tools with soap and water.
3. Rinse and dry.
