Stefan,
That is a beauty of a build! If I may make one comment it is the side bags look too bright and clean compared to the rest of the build.

Stefan,
Nice job on the figures and bike. My only issue is that the rider is a seargant and the MP is only a private.

Hi folks,
@Stefan- great work on the bike. I've never actually built one because I'd be worried about the spokes [insert correct word here] on the wheels- plastic spokes are often too thick and I heard that resin spokes are usually very fragile and a nightmare to trim off the excess. Yours look excellent. Are they plastic or resin? I know the feeling of starting something small, thinking it may only take a few days but end up taking weeks!
Anywho,
Here's the Kubelwagon completed, well the vehicle anyway. The windscreen was a bit of a weathering disaster, but at least it stopped there and I was able to drop it. I'm also going to stick a driver into it when I get a chance.

Later,
Eoin

Hi gents, i know im a late starter but, well you know. I plan to do the ancient and venerable Italeri Commando car. I got it the kit in my stash locker, however i dont have the box lid. A nice and short build should be finished in no time. Ill post pictures soon.

Thanks for the kind words guys!
Bob, actually you're wrong. He's not even a private. He's a Japanese spy working for the Germans. Dug himself from Japan to Normandy. You never heard of that operation?

Eoin, they're PE actually. Worked out better than I'd imagined, thanks to Bronco's fine enginieering. Your Kübel looks better now that it's finished. In your earlier pics the chips looked a bit overdone but now they olook fine. Nice Job.
Cheers!

Heres the initial pic of my Commando car. The stores for the vehicle will come from my massive spares box.

That commando car is bringing back memories, I remember building that as a kid. It was boxed as a Testers model in the yellow box. It’s an old but good kit! Looking forward to seeing this build.

Hello gang, my contribution to this campaign will be hasegawa's Sdkfz/7 in 1/72 scale
I will be also using Part PE ser for this kit, and an excellent Schatton replacement barrel.

Last but not least, as a guide I'll be oftenly checking Beyond's excellent Topic on the 3.7 flak which can be found in the following address. (special thanks and credits) :

I used to be a scale modeler like you. Then I took an arrow in the knee.

Hey Bob,
I've really enjoyed the campaign so far- all that time you put into it is appreciated. Hope you get back into the saddle soon and I'm sure we'll bump into you in future campaigns!

I would suggest that Emre start carrying as many lucky charms as possible. He will be the fourth leader of this campaign!!
My thanks to Bob for giving me a heads-up on his situation and finding replacements for all his campaigns for a smooth transition!

Yes, thanks to Emre, Bob, and the previous two campaign leaders!
I submitted my starting photo many posts ago, so when I do get off my duff, I'll probably have to repost that!
Here's to better days ahead!

Best of luck to all.

Bob, sorry to see the pressures of real life getting in the way of modelling!
Emri, glad to have you in the big chair!
As for me, I've been meaning to post some pics of my Kubelwagen for some time now. I've cleverly built the body with callous disregard (nay even contempt!) for the instructions so the whole thing is separate from the chassis for painting. And the more I do on it, the more I am impressed by this kit! I can see a real future for 1:24 as an armour scale...

I found the front wheels could be "turned" a bit with no more than gentle pressure on the hubs as the glue set. And there is a hatch over the rear stowage that could be opened if the folded top wasn't in the way.
As for size, here is the old "bucket car" next to Tamiya's 1:35 Panzer II:

More pics as it progresses...

Hi Bobv,
Good luck and thanks.
Hi Tom,
Nice progress, I don't have enough space for my 1/35 scale items, so that kinda rules out 1/24 scale for me

.
Looks neat though.

Yeah, a 1:24 Challenger 2 would take up lots of shelf space! But for little beasts like the Kubie it really does allow for lots of nice detail. And Hasegawa certainly took advantage with this cracker of a kit...
