Wow, great idea. It's simple, cheap, and effective. You can't ask for more

Looks like a good material for a variety of effects...I drag my kids to Michaels from time to time just to poke around and see what they have. They are pretty convinced the old man is out of his mind.

Ever notice that the cheaper the material the effect the better it seems to turn out?

The red under coat kept a gold tint. This would be absloutely perfect for the laser designator on the nose of the apache, which has a thin gold plating to minimize ir and radiation interference when lasing. The IR dazzler on the back of the apache also has a goldish purple tint that could be done this way as well.

How true that is!
I get a lot of mileage out of Future floor polish and Viv-a-Vis overhead projector -water soluable - markers.
Paint the sight or IR Jammer Disco light in a metallic shade.
Scribble a big dot of color into a sheet of plastic, put a drop of future next to it, mix to the desired intensity. paint over the metallic paint.
You can even go so far as to paint the different facets fo the jammer w different colors.
Try it, it's a good effect, and cheap!
