For the gun I've bought a Friul Dushka, it's on the way
My guess would be that the Iraqi vehicles would probably be pretty low-tech and this would not be present (same thing with any IED countermeasures, BFT antennas on the outside, etc.).
Pascal- what did you build the air intake out of? (Any 'in progress' shots of that bit?)
Pascal,
Excellent work as usual. I just have two observations. First, the Iraqi HMMWV's I worked with all had sprayed cammo-very tight and very well done. Your pattern is spot on, and represents a 1:1 brush job very well. It's just that I have not seen it. Of course, it's been a while for me now.Quoted TextMy guess would be that the Iraqi vehicles would probably be pretty low-tech and this would not be present (same thing with any IED countermeasures, BFT antennas on the outside, etc.).
Which brings me to my second point. We worked exclusively with our company's Recce Platoon (I guess one could say they were the most high speed Iraqis you could ask for in our AI)and they certainly did not use the FBCB2. As a matter of fact, their rigs do not even carry radios of any type. This obviously made doing joint hits with them a challenge, but it worked well enough.
Perhaps they use that equipment now, but prior to Iraq we (my team) learned a lesson in the Phillipines: We taught 'em everything they know. We just didn't teach 'em everything WE know....
