Excellent work!!! I will follow this closely.
This is one of my future projects as well but I will be building one of the blue & white police vehicles.
Where will the 12.7mm Dshk machine gun come from?

I will have to look for one of those Friul Dshka guns too. I need one for my build. Heck, I thought all Friul made was metal tracks.

Pascal- what did you build the air intake out of? (Any 'in progress' shots of that bit?)

Very nice looking humvee, you did an outstanding job on the painting. My only question would be about the computer display for the blue-force tracker mounted inside.
My guess would be that the Iraqi vehicles would probably be pretty low-tech and this would not be present (same thing with any IED countermeasures, BFT antennas on the outside, etc.).
Regards,
John

Pascal,
Excellent work as usual. I just have two observations. First, the Iraqi HMMWV's I worked with all had sprayed cammo-very tight and very well done. Your pattern is spot on, and represents a 1:1 brush job very well. It's just that I have not seen it. Of course, it's been a while for me now.
Which brings me to my second point. We worked exclusively with our company's Recce Platoon (I guess one could say they were the most high speed Iraqis you could ask for in our AI)and they certainly did not use the FBCB2. As a matter of fact, their rigs do not even carry radios of any type. This obviously made doing joint hits with them a challenge, but it worked well enough.
Perhaps they use that equipment now, but prior to Iraq we (my team) learned a lesson in the Phillipines: We taught 'em everything they know. We just didn't teach 'em everything WE know....

They also mount a Russian 30mm automatic grenade launcher (The AGS-17 Plamya). I will try and get a picture the next time I pass by one at the checkpoint.

Thanks too all
As I dont have any inside reference picture, I've build my hummer as a US vehicule. But I can remove the screen its not a real problem
My model is base on the 2 pics I've posted here. So there is no antenna and the paint sheme will be largely insîred by these pics.
Regarding the real camo paint, here a detail pic :
That is the vehicule I will make
Otherwise some other Hummer are sprayed as this one :

Again great job. Since it is obviously a more recent vehicle, take care which decals you use. The stars were removed a few years ago, and the Takbir has changed. (again) It used to be in the hand of Saddam himself, but most are reverting back to a more stylized Arabic acript. I'm sure you've already noted the difference in your photos.
EDIT:
Man, I hate to nitpick, but those ammo cans wouldn't be there either. NOT because they didn't use that ammo, but because they would with 100% certainty be removed and used as personal storage bins in their hooches.
I know, it makes the interior less and lass interesting, but that's just the way it is.

The decals from the doors must be replaced as these one are very bad;

Great looking model! I particularly like the green tint to the glass. Clear glass just gets too boring
