Probably not historically correct, but a dio never the less. Italeria tank, dragon d-day figures, home made dragon teeth, hairy grass mat and broken up plaster of paris for ground work.

The tank was made almost 3 years ago, just got round to making a base

Gary,
I like it! Captures some good action! Yup,....probably not historically accurate, but who cares! I also like your terrain.

First let me say I'm new to Armor and i like what you've done very much. What scale is this?

Pardon my ignorance but what makes this dio inaccurate?

Looks good Gary, the only part that looks alittle odd to me are the three officers, identified by the vertical strips on their helmets [lieutenants], all bunched together. I think it might be a little uncommon to have that many officers in one place during combat. Other than that, nice work!! I like your ground work also!!
Keep it up

It looks really good! Two things do pop out a little though. 1st is the Dragons Teeth look a little big. That may be the right size, I don't know, but something about them looks just a bit out of scale. They do however look really good. Did you scratch build them? The 2nd thing is the Sherman looks a little static, have you considered adding a figure to it? a Commander in the turret hatch or something. I know the tankers usually kept themselves buttoned up inside, but in this case you have so much life & action going on around the Sherman, but none on/in the Sherman itself. Overall though it's a good solid dio and those are just 2 really minor things that stood out when I looked. Good work!!!

thanks for the comments

Sean the dragon teeth are made from a pastic vaccum form kit I just poured plaster of paris in and made them that way. It is quite hard to find u.s tank figures when i made the tank, but now mini art have come up with some i might add 1 or 2

I'm looking forward to that tank crew as well. One last question, what did you use for your earth color? I struggle with getting my earth tones & yours looks really good. Thanks.

The dio looks very nice but I think that the dragons teeth look a little large. I have some photos that my dad took in the war and they are much smaller and are placed in several rows deep.........AL

Nice work, don't worry about the scale, they came in all sizes, remember most were made with slave labor, just one more reason why they lost the war. Tanks forever

The ground is made from mig pigments, just beach sand and earth colour mixed together with isopropyl and brushed on.
