One piece of advice I can give you or anybody that is going to tackle this kit, it to be careful when building the drive sprocket. Trumpeter gooffed up on the the alignment of the two halves. Cut the alignment tab that is on one of the halves and shift the second one just a bit. If you don't the tracks won't sit right on the sprocket. But other than that, the kit falls together easily and build into a solid model. I'm just glad to see more of the later T series getting built, I'll be watching your build to see what is in store.

Keep up the great build info! I 've been on the fence about building another t- tank after the T-72 M . This one looks like a candidate. The roadwheels are very impressive!

How does the Aires BDD set fit on the trumpeter T-62? Look forward to seeing more!
Armor is neatly divided into two catergories: German, and then the other 10 percent.

I may be wrong but wouldn't it be later model T-62's (with the AA gun on the turret) that usually have the BDD package? At least the Aires stuff seems to fit the Trumpeter kit, I've both the Aires and Navigator sets in the stash still.

Nice build! I ve seen pictures of the the model 67 with the BDD package - so itll work with either. You filled in the ventilator strip on the turret rear...... its right below the rear lift lug. The Aires set looks nice - how much trimming was involved for the glacis plate? Aires should have included the underside hull plate, it was a part of every BDD package.
Gayoue says they'll be making about 13 versions of the T-62 so I hope at least one will have the BDD package? Now if Trumpy will kit out some T-72 and T-80 stuff.

Nice build to me. How easy it was to adapt the conversion to the trumpeter?
I have one note for you. For the accuracy you necessary to make armor protection posting for the laser rangefinder.
...and I want to offer you photo of a possible prototype

Zwróć uwagę również na to że lewa brew ma wykop dla mechanika-kierowcy.
Note also that the left eyebrow has a groove for a driver.

Many, many thanks for photos!
Taras - I will do this groove - thanks for notice!
In case white substance it is white acryl putty and when dried (app 10-15 minutes with hair dryer) I use to remove excess putty remover to Future (in Poland it is CleanLux) Here is show it:
http://gulumik.blogspot.com/2010/05/chieftain-172-sbs_21.html In case adapt Aires conversion to this Trumpeter kit the big problem are fenders because not fit to plastic kit and is necessary cut inside site all resin parts and front fenders trumpeter kit have others shape as resin parts and here is necessary intensity to shape.
Best Reqards
Jarek

I was glad to help you Jarosław.
And thanks for explanations about the acrylic putty. I'll try this.
Regarding the reference to our forum, which gave Marcin, here it all depends on what result you want. Are you doing a copy and try to consider every detail and think about every millimeter or first try at building a model of liked Russian tank.
For the first time I think your model is good.
But if you will think to build a true copy of the T-54/55/62.
First you must explore the set of technical and photo information.
If I will can have possibility, I think I can help you in this.
Pozdrawiam,
Taraś.
