I am fascinated by the looks of this kit and will be picking one up tomorrow. However, I know nothing about it and I am curious about (1) its function (assume it is an stop-gap anti-tank gun introduced after the invasion of the Soviet Union (2) where it was in service and (3) when it was in service. Thanks in advance for any information.

kbm the Pak 38 was used mostly on the eastern front and was a great anti-tank gun until the heavyer Russian tanks came out such as the T-34. There crews were advised to keep the ingaging range to about 150m even though it could fire up to 1500m. The only way a Pak 38 could take out an T-34 was for it to hit it's tracks or for it to get a lucky tail shot. Well, I hope this gives you the info you need.- Brendan
