Recently got a number of AM sets to upgrade some older Humvee builds. They were the Legend Ibis bumper, Rhino anti-IED, ECM antenna and modern back-pack sets as well as the Blast Models CROW system. Thought I'd share my views and some pictures. First, I have to admit I'm not a huge fan of resin & PE and was intimidated by the bumped set. Never though it would go together straight...guess what? It did!
Very simple and straight forward, good clear instructions and well molded parts in secure well-padded box.
The Rhino is of the same quality and also went together very easily even without a PE folder. All fits so well that I was able to move it from raised to lowered position using a piece of bent guitar string as as the pin.
The antenna set contains 1 each of the Chameleon(?) and duke antennas with PE for attaching to the sloped side of a LAV/Stryker for the Chameleon. Again well packed, beautifully cast and clear instructions.
The back-pack has a variety of sizes and types of good crisp quality. I'm no expert but they add to any modern build.
The Blast Models CROW system comes with a .50cal and nice crisp molding with relativly soft resin which was easy to cut. The one flaw was the thickness of the side armor panels looks too thin but shouldn't be too obvious once painted
Overall I'm very pleased with these recent purchases and would recommend them...especially to people who have not used these type of AM sets before. They really are a great introduction! The ease of use has finally given me teh courage to tackle the IDF TOW set thats been sitting on the shelf for near two years
Just thought I'd share my 2.47 cents!

Great post Sean. I have those items to tackle as well. Glad to see they went together well for you. Good quality pictures also.
You should do a blog for your IDF TOW Humvee.

Thanks for the info. It's nice to see some stuff on these sets. I've got a couple in the stash too.

Thanks Brent: I'm posting updates on it in the "Humming Along" campaign.
I should have pics of the other sets installed in a few days
