hello to all! I've been a silent forum browser for the past year and a half, and have finally jumped in and joined. There's so much knowledge of both modeling and its real-world subjects here! I'm currently working on my first ever armor model, a Dragon M1A1 AIM, and it's starting to distract me from my aircraft models. Should I be worried?
I hope I'm doing this in line with proper etiquette, but I would really like to get a mine plow for my M1A1. I don't have enough 'model money' as my wife calls it to buy a whole model just for the plow, and I haven't seen any aftermarket plows on the net as of this moment.
Anyone have one from a kit that they don't want? I'm prepared to pay, of course. Just send me an email or pm.
Thanks in advance, and thanks for the year + of information I've been gleaning so far from all of your posts.

Hi Dustin
Just in case you don't receive any offer (but I'm sure you will !), DML had released a "Track Width Mine Plough" set (#3408). It's OOP, but it seems you can still find one online (from Australia, judging by the webstore name )

Welcome to the site Dustin. The cheapest way to get a mine plow for the abrams is to purchase Trumpeters 5 in 1 abrams (about £16) this will also leave you a host of options to build other abrams tanks, not including one from the box as well. Yes it will fit the DML kit.

thanks very much for that link! I had searched the forums and found that kit mentioned numerous times, but had no luck in finding it for sale anywhere. If nobody closer to home has one laying around, I might just go that route. Thanks.

Trumpeter M1A1 with plow for $19
http://www.greatmodels.com/~smartcart/cgi/display.cgi?item_num=TSM335
Unfortunately you asked a week too late - I could have sworn I saw the 5 in 1 on sale for under $20.
Don't worry about Trumpeters Abrams kits - they have a pretty good reputation - not perfect but they don't get slagged as much as the aircraft kits do.

Hey Dustin. I think I might have the blade type plow from the tamiya kit in the spares box at home. It was still on the sprue and primed the last time I saw it. I am at the hospital with my wife at the moment, so when I get home I will see if I still have it. If this one will work for ya let me know and maybe we can do some trading.

that might definitely work, thanks! I don't have a huge amount of stuff to trade (poor college student at the moment), but I do have some WWII aircraft I might be persuaded to part with. If flyboys' toys just don't do it for you, I do have a Paypal account and would be willing to pay for it

Well I am still at the hospital with my Wife. I will be leaving shortly. I know I still have it, I just cant remember if its at home or at my friends house in his parts stash. When I find it I will pm you and we'll work something out. I might be interested in a 1/48th Zero. That is about the only plane I have interest in. I've never built any planes except as a young child.

Hey Dustin,
If Mike can't find the one he has, pm me your address as I
also have one I'll give you, no charge no trade. It is just
sitting in my stash and probably will not be used.
